As kids we all read Phantom Comics and the line "The Ghost Who Walks - Man Who Cannot Die" seems appropriate for Dave. We know he is around as he has emailed a couple of us but no one has seen him since The Hat's Party.
Rather than the usual image of the Phantom from Comics or Screen...
...I believe he has morphed into a new version due to some form of mutagenic mix of drinks at the Hat's Bar.
