NAMING THE STORM WAS A BREEZE

Albeit delayed the Kincumber Storm has launched their 2010 season in fine style today with a breakfast at the new world-class Roo Park that will be their home from this season onwards.

The newly formed Storm side kicked off their new season a few weeks ago and today with some huge announcements and presentations.

The entire squad was present and not since the return of Cantona has there been so much anticipation about a game of football. Sitting around the table were many of the clubs stalwarts including Sami, Homebrew, Zulu, Mad Eye, Macca, Ozzie Steve, Lambo, Tinman, Ivebeena, Bad, Diamond, Silver Fuzz and the new faces Jambo , Turtle and freshly signed Man Mountain (ex disgruntled Relics GoalKeeper), Manager Roy sitting at the end of the table could not be more enthused as he looked over more than 120 years of loyal Kincumber Roo service.

The trophies from the Club's previous Premiership triumphs where Storm players had contributed were presented to the crowd by Club President Jim Davis and Senior Official Paulo Notalent.

Central Coast Lord Mayor Rubert Holstein was at the breakfast, and was made an Ambassador of the Club by Legendary Striker Ivebeena and Jambo, and was presented with his Kincumber Storm jersey for the 2010 season.

The Minister for Sport, Recreation and Youth Affairs James Idunno was also on hand to wish the Storm well for the upcoming season and express how excited he was by the Storm's move into the new competition in early April and the size of their team’s esky.

In sponsorship news the Storm's major partner, Central Coast Gun Shop has announced their new sponsorship agreement with the team until the end of the 2010 season providing any ammunition needed throughout the season as well as new apparel purchased from Rooga which will be displayed in weeks to come.

Refreshment partner Rooheys, has committed to the Club until the end of the 2010 season, while also increasing their investment in the Club to become a Premium Sponsor alongside Central Coast Gun Shop who are also advisors to the end of season trip to the Gold Coast.

The shorts sponsorship has now been divided between the front and back, with long term shorts sponsor Allstar Arses now occupying the back of the shorts, and new sponsor Large Bulges coming on board to occupy the front of the shorts.

The Storm's first few games of the 2010 season have been a great start and they remain the only undefeated team in the club, keeper Mountain holds the competitions cleanest slate and word is injured player will be returning shortly.

Their next game of the table takes place on Saturday, May 8 against the Rustics at Kurruba Stadium on the Central Coast. The Club's next home game is against the Cavemen at Roo Park the following week. Tickets are also now on sale for the much anticipated inter club clash Storm V Relics, the match will no doubt be a sell out with all club officials and security present .….Ends…..
