Hi Guys, we are playing Avoca at home at 1:45pm please be there by 1:15pm and then we have the Easter weekend off. I will update further games when I get them. (Park car at the opposite side of the park near the demountables)

Training this week will be Thursday at 6:30pm till dark sand shoes only (club is still fighting with council for lights), we have been allocated 2/3 of the mid size (3/4) field, from 7 to 8:30pm on Thursdays, however the two small fields near the lights are free so far, so you guys can discuss on Thursday which one you prefer as I wont be there.

We can also discuss with other teams training on Tuesdays re sharing the large training areas allocated and train twice a week.

Looks like we may have another player join our team, Steve Ohara was at training yesterday and is interested in joining our team. He still has to register so hopefully he will be available soon. 

Oh and if anyone scores a goal and gets this excited...

Not Happy?

Well guys, according to the Kincumber web site it finally looks like men's all age  can train on the southern end of Frost park, sand shoes only from 6:30pm till dark this Thursday 26th.

The following week we should get our regular training schedule as the club gets possession of the park and the lights.

Ill text everyone tomorrow and see who is available. Remember sand shoes only and maybe some mozzie repellent will be handy.

Scraping the Fantasy comp already.

I figure that with the amount of stats required to do this properly would mean that I would not have time for anything else.

Considering we only have 16 players in the team might mean some games we may not even have anyone on the bench.

So will just stick to the main competition.

Our first game

As you can see from the last post that Vic took his camera to training. I have been able to get some sneak footage of our first game.

Next run Sat 28th at 4pm Terry Oval, Springfield

We had to change parks due to the cricket finals at Jubilee. This will probably be our last training run before our first game unless we are allowed on Frost before the 4th. Its closer to most of us especially me, so lets try get there.

Bring the esky to my place afterwards and will put a few snags on the BBQ.

Sorry guys, I have now contacted Pullo, Southers and Conduitt and they cant join our team.

If duel registering was available I'm know they would be in our team. All of them are very good players which I'm sure would have been an definite advantage to have in our side.

Regardless, when we get injuries, players go on holidays and we field 10 players on the park we are still going to kick arse.

Statue

We have 2 weeks to the first game, I think we need to allocate the shirts numbers to each player.

We know we have three XXL 120cm shirts in our kit, lets work out whether we require any more.

Shirt number 9 is the smallest, Mick maybe you should try it on since that's the one you want.

Statue, our kit contains 16 shirts and so far we have 16 registered players, can you organise a number to each player? 

Mark Pullen, Dave Southers & Steve Conduitt seem to have dropped out of radar, I will send them an email and also one to Paul Talent to see if they changed  their team registration.

For those who can Dave Cullen will be collecting our $100 season game fee.

Hi all, we have 5 on 5 so far, Brian has just responded, still don't know from a few others. 

This will probably be our second last training before the season, so we might start the 2 touch game going & sharpen our passes.

Keeper injured.

Bob has done his back in, reckons his out for two weeks. That's cutting it close, I think we kick off on the first week end in April.

So just in case, we might get Mick and Brian to start using their hands as well as diving exercises.

Tomorrow at Jubilee we should have at least 7 on 7, apart from the 11 on the table below, D.Gray, Brian and Adrian will be coming.

I have also been contacted by Dave Southers, he is still interested in joining the team and is trying to change his registration form All Age to over 45s.

No idea on when we can get on Frost, see you guys tomorrow.

Training this week end will be on Sunday at 10am, I had 11 respond they could make this time slot, since my text today Brian and D. Gray have messaged me they can also make it. 

Kevin, will be making his first training so lets make him work hard.

My trip to pomme land

Gentlemen and Mick,
this friday(the 13th) I am flying to Pomme land for 3 weeks so I will not be able to join you for training and pre-games. Whilst there I will try to see some prem league games and pick up some tips. Although if I go to a Chelsea game that might be difficult!!!!!
I look forward to catching up when I get back and Vic in training I hope that you will work them hard and try to teach Flemo not to fall over the ball!!!!

Improvements

Hi guys, the least turn out at Jubilee Park today, 5 on 5, that I think is still good, thanks for the effort.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to improve this site such as ,  useful links you want on the side, etc... Please let me know.

Get to know your position early....(this is an example only). I will be posting a weekly line up.

At the moment there is still some doubt re: Pullo, Conduit & Southers being in the team. 

Got the gear!

Got to frost at 10 to 5, had to help set up, anyways got 16 shirts, (I think they use to be the 35d1 side, no number 9. In our bag they had a set of harlequin shirts), 9 yellow bibs, 12 hats, 10 training balls, pump, whistle, a yellow officials vest, and only one match ball.

Planning to go to Kincumber pub for the coaches and managers meeting at 7pm tonight. This part of being a coach wasn't in my contract.

See you girls on Saturday 4pm... I know Mick, you're working. (Just kidding about missing a number nine)

I have invited the team, but I think this will be a bit complicated. If we can get used to it, it will be good for commenting on match, car pooling, wet weather, team number avail, etc.....
