Relics Live to Fight Another Day

The irrepressible Kincumber Relics have lifted themselves from the depths of despair to record a solid win against the Terrigal Barnacles. The match was played in atrocious conditions with the Relics squandering numerous opportunities to score. The final score-line of 2-0 was adequate and has propelled the Relics to second on the ladder.

All of the Relics lifted, apart from No 7 who suffered exhaustion midway through his 10 minute stint, having to be assisted from the field.

Standout players were Howler and Statue.

The sight of a running Statue was something novel for the Frost crowd and obviously he was out to impress. PS I am not using ‘out’ in any gay sense just in case you get paranoid again statue.

The Barnacles, however, should take some credit from the match as the score should have only been 1-0. How the limp-footed strike from Waz ever made it to the goal-line, let alone dribble through the legs of the goalie will one of those all time mysteries like Stonehenge and that volley he hit last year. In stark contrast the strike from our own plastic women's wonder stick was a sight to behold.

Muscle up boys, our local derby is this weekend!
