Kincumber O45-2s vs Berkeley Vale:

The game started with Flem playing in goal and Tony proving the trial runs have given him some confidence and stamina on the pitch.Unfortunately Tony had to come off after 3 minutes having done a hammy.

The Chittaway field whilst looking flat has a lot of small divots and already has a couple of areas of dirt.

Consequently balls didn't always travel where expected.

They scored from a melee in the goalmouth about 2 minutes into the game. Flem , Shadow and Whiz started barking some orders and we all knuckled down.

Rob , Shadow and Grant continually pushed the ball forward with Whiz , Wheats , Phil , Peter and Mick  making some deft plays to Dave , Greg , Vic , Tolly and Statue.

From then on we kept attacking their goal only to have many shots going directly to the keeper or balls going just wide of the post and twice rolling along the goal line and not going in.

Eventually Statue evened things up.

At half time both teams changed keeper and Tony went into goals.

Again we pressed the attack and had multiple corners against them and Statue just missing one shot and a flying header from Greg that bounced the wrong way.

The one player on their team who continually barrelled our players and objected to free kicks going against him,  scored their second goal. Tony was lying on the ground with the ball held under his arm when this player dived in and punched it into the goal!!!

At the conclusion of the match the many of the Berkeley Vale players stated we were the better team and should have won!

The Toe.

Complaint

Hey Vic I've just had a phone call from Holger. He wants you to move his face from next to Mickle's fantasy. He suggested it would be better placed next to Statue. Cheers Becks
